The Marion soccer clubs came up with a pair of league wins in dramatic fashion last Friday night at West Memphis. Two-time junior all-conference performer Reese Goodwin provided the only goal of the match, finding the back of the net in the first half, as Marion shut out West Memphis 1-0. In the boys match, Marion erased a 1-0 first-half deficit by scoring late in the first half and got two goals from Cristobal Saez to rally for a 2-1 decision at Hamilton-Schultz Field. Marion hosts Greene County Tech on Monday, April 14, for another 5A East match with the junior varsity boys getting underway around 4 p.m., followed by the varsity girls contest at 5 p.m., then the boys varsity contest at approximately 7:00.
